The Next and Last Step in Child Seat Safety
Recaro knows that a lot of parents have purchased an infant car seat with small capacity, usually with an upper weight limit of about 20 lbs. From there, the child needs a great safety seat to carry her until she’s big enough to go it alone. The Recaro Young Sport is designed for this purpose.

At the core, this seat is a scaled down version of the seats Recaro builds for use in racing vehicles, with extra touches for the specific needs of growing youngsters. Those genetics include an ultra-tough flexible shell that absorbs impact energy, the patented EPS foam lining that all the highest rated seats in the industry feature, and deep side wings that offer enhanced side impact protection. The seat is loaded with plush foam that increases safety and makes for one comfortable ride. The head rest is adjustable, plush and padded, as well. The seat tilts back to multiple positions. Too bad they don’t offer an adult version of this product! You might be tempted to drag it into the house and replace the recliner! When your child outgrows the five-point safety harness and seat, usually at about 40 lbs, simply remove them and the Recaro Young Sport becomes a forward facing booster.
Recaro Young Sport Size & Weight Recommendations
This seat is forward facing only. From 20 to 40 lbs use the harness system. Beyond that, the booster is rated safe up to 80 lbs or 59 inches in height. Use the same components that keep racers safe for your Young Sport, and having them looking good in Midnight Desert, Charcoal, or Ebony.
